Florida's Capital City

Tallahassee – Rolling Hills and White Sandy Beaches

Tallahassee’s unique community of government and college town mixed with the great outdoors make it a great place to live. The rolling hills and light seasonal changes add to Tallahassee’s appeal as well. You can drive an hour south to discover the Gulf of Mexico’s white sandy beaches with few people.

The City of Tallahassee

Everything about Tallahassee is dominated by state government and the local universities FSU, and FAMU (Florida A & M). The new state capital towers in the center of the city and is surrounded by government buildings. A few miles west of the capital building is the Governors Mansion. And a few miles from there is FSU.

The presence of state government and major universities has allowed Tallahassee to develop into a strong city. The economy is stable, there is an educated workforce, and the result is that Tallahassee has a variety of industries, good schools, and plenty of activities.
